Living in San Diego has its perks. One of them being that we are less than a 20 minute drive from Mexico, and entering the country has never been easier. On August 13th, Audrey and I packed up the truck and headed south to stay at the famous Las Rocas resort. The new border crossing into Mexico is as easy as it gets. Simply drive through as they take pictures of your car and you reach a stoplight. Green for go, red for stop and if your lucky enough to get the green, your in the country within a couple minutes with zero identification checks or customs. After the border, Las Rocas resort is about a 45 minute drive, and $70 a night , lets just say it is way worth the trip. The pool at the resort is fantastic, food is great, drinks are cheap and it is fairly close to everything in the area. We spent 4 days cruising the beaches, feeding the local dogs and cats, off roading and sipping drinks by the pool. Pretty hard to beat being less than 50 miles from home!
